We know that many people had expressed public concerns during our initial application to operate a quarry in Goffs, Halifax County adjacent to Aerotech Industrial Park.
We confidently believe that the many concerns expressed publicly have been addressed and mitigated in a manner that will prevent impact to any communities or businesses nearby. We believe that the current ongoing operations supports this position.
We too believe that it is vital for the community, and anyone else who is interested in the project, to be well informed in order to judge the Goffs Quarry project with the benefit of a full set of data.
We therefore felt it was important for information to be readily available on a timely basis to ensure the Goffs Quarry project is understood for what it is and for what it is not.

June 19, 2017 Nova Scotia Environment granted Industrial Approval #2016-095664 for the construction and operation of a 3.99 Ha quarry. October 25, 2019 the Nova Scotia Minister of Environment approved Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the quarry project expanssion as delineated in the Environmental Assessment registration document dated July 2018. June 3, 202o Nova Scotia Environment amended industrial Approval #2016-095664-03 for the operation of the expanded quarry as delineated in the Environmental Assessment registration document dated July 2018. |
